Greetings from New President
Dear and beloved alumni of Torch Trinity Graduate University!
May the grace of God and his love be upon your family and your ministry.
I thank God, above all, for his help for us to organize the fourth executive committee even in the midst of difficult circumstance so that we could make a further step to have our alumni association keep growing. And I also feel deeply grateful all of you for having been sending us cordial encouragements and heartful cares. I appreciate, especially, for the devotion of the former president Youngtae Song and all the members of former executive committee that our alumni association could have a solid foundation to keep pressing on working to achieve our goals. I promise that we will continually build up unshakable pillars upon this foundation.
Torch Trinity Graduate University has been committing to providing Bible-centric teaching and intensive schooling ever since it was founded in 1998. And more than thousand graduates from diverse backgrounds and languages are fulfilling their duties to plant the church, the body of Christ, all around the world. Whenever I hear this good news I am not only so excited but also proud of our alumni carrying out their godly duties very well. To make these beautiful works continually done, we will make efforts to make good programs which find more workers and support them.
For doing that, new executive committee gives our promises herein: First, we will make the homepage of alumni association work more efficiently that we can share the information about our alumni’s ministry; Second, we will invigorate the Angel Project especially for domestic churches which have been ignored only because they are in Korea; Third, we will create the network system for the graduates looking for church or ministry which they want to serve. As we all acknowledge, our graduates have difficulties to find fields to work because of our school’s interdenominational background. We believe, however, it would go well not only by finding alumni churches but also networking with them.
I want to ask all of our alumni for praying about it. I hope our alumni association becomes more reliable for each of you to lean whenever you get difficult time.
“Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low,and I know how to a bound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned these cretoffacing plenty and hunger, a bundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:11-13).”
I would like to serve our school and alumni association remembering these verses. I pray that the grace and peace of Jesus Christ our Lord may be with you and your family and may your ministry bear fruitful results everlastingly.
Sincerely, Jayoung Koo
The fourth President of Alumni Association
